A new start for AGS

Everything started with a visit… The discovery of this workshop full of history…

Notre histoire

AGS Formule 1 (Automobiles Gonfaronnaises Sportives) took part in Formula 1 World Championships from 1986 to 1992 thanks to its creator, Henri Julien. After these participations, he developed the concept of Formula One training course. It was AGS main activity during years.

The unique facilities of the old team based on the Cote d’Azur, and the private access to Circuit du Var create an exceptional setting for any motorsport activities.

Early 2019, Willy Collignon, the founder and owner of First Motorsport (a well-known rally team in Belgium), was looking for a new workshop in the south of France. He landed in Gonfaron… As soon as he visited AGS facilities, he noticed their potential and decided to invest. As the new general manager of the company, he knew right away how to improve the performance of the team.

Since August 2019, AGS has made a fresh start with one big aim: bringing back the motorsport competition to the AGS workshop!

Our goal is also to revive the AGS history: we are rebuilding the historic vehicles that raced in the world championship. Tarquini's JH25 and 24 have already made their first runs!

Take part of our history !
